Why tribal casinos can offer blackjack
The 2021 Gaming Compact between Florida and the Seminole Tribe defines “Table Game” to include blackjack and authorizes covered games at specified facilities on Indian lands, subject to the compact and federal law. FGCC’s Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering acts as the State Compliance Agency for compact oversight.
The Miccosukee Tribe is not a party to that compact and operates under a different federal/tribal framework. That is why readers should verify the regulator and legal basis for the specific venue rather than using “Florida casino” as one category.

- Open the FGCC Gaming Locations map.
- Filter for Indian Gaming.
- Match the property with the tribal operator’s official destination page.
- Confirm that live blackjack is currently offered; a casino listing does not guarantee every table game.
- Check the venue’s age, identification, hours and responsible-gaming policies.

Compare the actual table rules
Once at the casino, check:
- blackjack pays 3:2 or 6:5;
- dealer stands or hits soft 17;
- number of decks;
