Who owns the commercial decisions?
Sam owns, edits and publishes CountingEdge. He is responsible for commercial standards as well as editorial review. Advertisers and affiliate programs do not own or edit CountingEdge content.
How affiliate compensation works
When a link is marked as sponsored, advertising or affiliate, CountingEdge may receive a fixed fee, a percentage of qualifying revenue, or another agreed payment if a reader clicks, registers, deposits, buys a product or completes another defined action. The reader should assume that a commercial outbound link may be compensated unless the page says otherwise.
A reader does not normally pay CountingEdge directly for using an affiliate link. The commercial relationship can still create a conflict of interest, which is why the link and the review method must be disclosed.
What compensation cannot change
- Blackjack probabilities, expected value or house edge.
- Whether an operator is licensed for a reader’s physical location.
- Material rules, fees, bonus restrictions, withdrawal terms or complaint history.
- Responsible-gambling warnings or support information.
- The need to correct, downgrade, withdraw or refuse a recommendation.
No safety guarantee
Clicking an advertisement or affiliate link can take the reader to a third-party site with its own security, privacy, account and financial risks. CountingEdge cannot guarantee that a third party is safe, available, legal in every location, solvent, error-free or suitable for a particular reader.
Verify the exact operator and domain with the regulator for your physical location, read current terms before depositing, and keep copies of material rules and transactions. A familiar brand, HTTPS lock, app-store listing, cryptocurrency option or licence image is not enough by itself.
How commercial pages are evaluated
Where a casino or product is reviewed, CountingEdge should disclose:
- The jurisdiction, regulator, legal entity and domain checked.
- The date the material terms were reviewed.
- The blackjack games, rules, limits or product features inspected.
- Important account, bonus, payment and withdrawal restrictions.
- Player-control and complaint routes.
- What was tested first-hand and what was verified only from documents.
- The affiliate relationship.
If CountingEdge has not opened an account, deposited, played or withdrawn for a review, it must not imply that it did.
Editorial independence
Commercial compensation cannot buy a positive conclusion or suppress material criticism. CountingEdge can publish an educational page with no commercial link, decline a partnership, or withdraw a recommendation when evidence no longer supports it.
